Concussion Management
Any body who is suspected of having a concussion should be evaluated within 24-72 hours by a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (CIC). After the neuropsychological assessment and evaluation a comprehensive individual concussion management plan is developed. The goals include education, academic support and ultimately return-to-play without permanent, serous brain injury. As a former High School All-State (MD), All-Met (DC), NCAA Division 1, and professional athlete; now a pediatrician and coach, Dr. Irving Williams, II, CIC, knows and understands the need to succeed on the field and in the classroom. Consultation is also available for schools, teams, clubs, and leagues to provide concussion education, awareness and management.
